Getting started

Kibo is a custom keyboard, so it has to be added once before you can use it:

  1. Open the Kibo app.
  2. Go to Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard…
  3. Under “Third-Party Keyboards”, tap Kibo.
  4. In any app, tap and hold the globe key 🌐 and choose Kibo.

Frequently asked

Do I need to turn on “Allow Full Access”?
No. Kibo works without it — themes, sounds, light effects, emoji, suggestions and cursor tools all work with Full Access off. You only need to turn it on if you want the clipboard Copy and Paste buttons. Even then, Kibo never collects or sends what you type.

Is Kibo free?
Typing is free and always will be, along with a selection of themes, sounds and light effects. Kibo Pro is an optional upgrade that unlocks the rest — available as a weekly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time purchase.

How do I change themes, sounds or lighting?
Tap the icons at the top of the keyboard (paint palette, speaker, sparkles) to switch themes, key sounds and backlight effects right from the keyboard. More options are in the Kibo app.

How do I delete my data?
Kibo stores only your preferences (theme, sound, recent emoji) on your device. Deleting the app removes everything. There is no account and nothing stored on any server.
