Knowledge Swipe ("the app") turns study materials you import into flashcards. We designed it so that your files and your learning records stay on your device.
The files you import (PDF, TXT, Markdown), the knowledge points and cards generated from them, and all of your review history and settings are stored only on this device. We do not upload your original files, and we have no copy of your learning records.
When you choose to process chapters, the text of those chapters is sent in short excerpts through our server (a Cloudflare Worker) to a third-party AI model provider (currently DeepSeek) to extract knowledge points and write cards. Our server does not store these excerpts or the generated results, and its logs contain only technical metadata: which step ran, how long it took, token counts, the status code, and a shortened hash of the device identifier. Never the text itself.
The app creates a random identifier on first launch and uses Apple's App Attest to confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the app. These are used only to prevent abuse and to count monthly usage quotas. They are not linked to your identity, and no account is required.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or advertising identifier. The app contains no ads and no third-party tracking or analytics SDKs.
You can delete any document (along with all of its cards and review history) from its detail page, or erase everything under Settings → Delete All Data. Deleting the app also removes all local data.
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
