Welcome to Verses ("the App", also known as "经读"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial reading and study. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
The App presents Bible text drawn from translations that are in the public domain (such as the Chinese Union Version and other public-domain editions). Public-domain scripture is not owned by us. The App's own software, design, layout, and original interface elements are the property of the developer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any scripture text is free from typographical or transcription errors. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App.
You agree not to misuse the App. In particular, you may not:
These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. You may terminate them at any time by deleting the App from your devices. We may suspend or terminate your license if you materially breach these Terms. Provisions relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" above and publish the revised Terms at this address. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
