Welcome to Waterline. By downloading, installing, or using this app, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

The most important clause: Waterline is a self-reflection tool, not a verdict on your life.
Its scores, grades, and projections are the output of a model. They are not objective facts and they are not advice.

1. What the Service Is

Waterline is a personal self-assessment and projection tool built on the iceberg model. You can set the tier for each layer, log daily actions, accumulate potential, lever structural layers, and view your score and what-if projections. All functionality runs locally on your device.

2. Disclaimer on Results

All output from Waterline — including but not limited to the total score, grade, layer averages, weakest-layer identification, and what-if projections — is generated by a simplified mathematical model and is intended solely for personal reflection.

These results do not constitute career, financial, investment, legal, medical, or mental-health advice, and they are not an objective evaluation of your abilities, worth, or prospects. Do not treat them as the sole basis for any significant life decision (such as quitting a job, relocating, or investing). Any decision you make in reliance on this app, and its consequences, are yours alone.

If you are experiencing emotional distress or mental-health difficulties, please seek help from a qualified professional rather than relying on an app's score.

3. Your Data and Your Responsibility

Everything you enter in this app is stored only in local storage on your device (see the Privacy Policy). We cannot access, back up, or restore it.

Consequently, deleting the app, switching devices, system failure, or an accidental reset will permanently and irrecoverably erase your data. Please preserve anything you consider important yourself.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to crack the app; use the app for any unlawful purpose; or interfere with or disrupt its normal operation.

5. Intellectual Property

The design, code, copy, model structure, and visual assets of this app are the intellectual property of the developer. Content you personally create within the app belongs to you.

6. Changes to or Termination of the Service

We may update or modify the app's functionality, or discontinue the service if necessary. Because the app does not depend on a server, any version already installed on your device will continue to work offline even if we stop updating it.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, this app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any direct or indirect loss (including data loss) arising from your use of, or inability to use, this app.

If these terms change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
